The year of 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the friendship between Shanghai and Rotterdam, the Netherlands. With the healthy development of Sino-Dutch relations and deepening of pragmatic cooperation in various fields, on June 14, the mayor of Rotterdam, the Netherlands Consul General Wan Heting of Shanghai, Dean of School of Health Care Studies (SHCS) of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), Mr Overhill, and a business delegate of more than 20 people were invited to visit Shanghai Sipo Polytechnic (SSP) and inspect the exchanges of students between two countries. The exchange ceremony was held in the lobby of the Nursing Training Center of School of Health Science and Nursing (SHSN). 43 exchange students and 7 teachers from School of Health Care Studies (SHCS), Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), as well as more than 80 students and teachers from School of Health Science and Nursing (SHSN) of Shanghai Sipo Polytechnic (SSP) also attended the ceremony.

Mr Ahmed Aboutaleb highly praised the practical significance of the exchanges between Chinese and Dutch students, and was full of confidence in the further cooperation. Consul General Wan Heting and Dean Overhill gave warm speeches respectively. Mr Wan Heting was very grateful for the exchange activities organized by our school, and hoped that two schools would further strengthen exchanges, create more open and cooperative environment, and promote mutual development. Vice President of Shanghai Sipo Polytechnic (SSP), Mr Shen Xiaoping also stated that the school would further open up in international cooperation and exchanges, enhance the international vision of teachers and students, and cultivate a group of talents for the nursing industry.
